I will throw this in the public forum since it applies to everyone.
If you did not know, analog (old) TV's will no longer work starting 1/1/2009 when all TV signals go digital. After that point you will need an high definition television (HDTV) or a converter box which will presumably be available from your cable provider. Although where you will get the box is not currently known as none are available yet.
The feds have agreed to help those unwillingly to shell out the $500+ for an HD tv with up to two $40 coupons per household for the converter boxes. They are expected to sell for $50 to $70 a piece.
