DSAM is governed by an executive board operating under by-laws and rules of business. The executive board is comprised of the president, four area vice presidents, treasurer, secretary, sergeant-at-arms, and district representatives. All board members serve on a voluntary basis. DSAM employs a full-time executive director.

DSAM is a registered not-for-profit corporation, founded in 1978. DSAM is a bi-partisan legislative lobbying and training organization dedicated to improving the professional careers and working conditions of our members.
