Officer Jason Sakowski of the Harper Woods Police Department responded to a one vehicle crash on I-94 last week and ultimately cleared as a hero.

Dashcam video released from Sakowski's cruiser shows him push three civilians out of the way of a vehicle that lost control before being struck himself. Harper Woods Police Officials state alcohol was a factor in the crash that injured Officer Sakowski.

Registered nurse Tracey Tiller was one of the bystanders Sakowski pushed out of the way. She was able to use Sakowski's radio to call for help and render aid to him until other Officers arrived.
